There are many benefits to having two well-matched cats. Cats are socialble animals, and enjoy the company of both their human companions and often another cat. Cats that have been raised together will often form an especially strong bond.
During this very busy kitten season, the Sacramento SPCA is offering special adoption rates through the month of July - $40 for either one OR two cats. All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, license, free vet check and more.
Having a pair of cats can help relieve the boredom and destruction that often comes with lack of stimulation in a single cat household. A pair of cats can provide each other with exercise, social and mental stimulation, and often help with grooming as well. Cats living together have the opportunity to just be cats, playing and inteacting with one another, often making them less likely to be destructive.
Having multiple cats in the home where people work long hours can work out well, alleviating some of the guilt of being away, while providing built-in entertainment and companionship for feline family members.
Consider adopting a pair of cats from the Sacramento SPCA during our Perfect Pairs adoption special running throughout July. Seniors receive a special discount year-round through the SPCA’s Senior Companions Program where adoption fees are waived when people 60 and over adopt a pet age five-years or older.
