Folsomʼs long awaited and highly anticipated first off-leash dog park will open to canines and their companions on August 16^th.   A grand opening celebration from 8 a.m. to noon will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, pet vendors, canine demonstrations, dog park etiquette and more.  

The park is named FIDO Field in honor of the non-profit organization Folsom Independent Dog Owners (FIDO) that spear-headed the effort to build the park. 

FIDO Field is located inside of Cummings Family Park at the corner of Creekside Drive and Oak Avenue Parkway.

FIDO Field consists of two separate areas to accommodate small and large dogs. Each area includes a double-gated entrance, a three-tier wheelchair accessible drinking fountain, a shade area, poop bags and a dog wash-off area. Visitors are encouraged to view the parkʼs safety and visitor rules on FIDOʼs website, www.fidoinc.org.
