Children of all ages and their families are invited to hear a free reading of the book A Home for Nathan, written by Claudia Roll and illustrated by Finn Rizer, followed by a discussion of the relationship between people and pets. This monthly story time event is part of the Humane Education Ambassador Reader program – an initiative of Sacramento-based United Animal Nations to help children develop critical thinking skills and foster empathy toward animals through stories and discussion.
