UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital has opened a K9 blood donor program through the UC Davis Veterinary Blood Bank.
If your dog is 1-8 years old, 55+ pounds, current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative medications and has never been pregnant, he/she is eligible to become a blood donor.
The donation process for dogs is similar to human blood donation and is FREE! All costs associated with donating are paid in full by the UC Davis Vet Med Teaching Hospital.
