Does your Chihuahua feel the need for speed?
The PETCO Unleashed Chihuahua Races are coming back to Sacramento in search for America's fastest Chihuahua. Accompanied by their human family members, featherweight competitors with larger-than-life personalities will sprint - or stroll - in heats of 10 down a 1/18th furlong (35-foot-long) track during the regional race.
Sacramento Chihuahuas can be pre-registered at www.petco.com/petcounleashed. Up to 300 spots are available through online registration; a limited number of spots will also be available on the race day.
Sacramento's winner, a pet parent and a guest will head to San Diego to battle it out against 14 other regional champions in front of cheering crowds between innings of a major league baseball game at PETCO Park, home to the San Diego Padres, Aug. 31, 2008. Only one will triumph as America's fastest Chihuahua.
