The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation's annual nationwide event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability.  It is a tremendous opportunity to help improve the lives of the 46 million men, women and children, and the over 11 million dogs diagnosed with arthritis.  Get your company involved or recruit friends and family members to build a team.  Best of all, walk in honor of a loved one with arthritis and know you're making a difference by raising funds to support Arthritis Foundation research, public health, local programs and services, and public policy efforts to improve the lives of people with arthritis.

Join us at William Land Park on May 3, 2008 and choose from a 1-mile or 3-mile course.  Day of registration begins at 8am with the walk starting at 9am.  After the walk, enjoy family activities, food, entertainment, and health fair.  And DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER TO BRING YOUR POOCH! Dogs get arthritis too!

Visit our website at www.sacramentoarthritiswalk.kintera.org to pre-register today!  Each participant who raises $100 will receive the official arthritis walk t-shirt.  Each dog participant will receive the official arthritis dog scarf.

If you would like to help plan this event and become a volunteer, or for more information about the Walk, contact the chapter office at (916) 368-5599 x203 or dwoodsford@arthritis.org
