Hundreds of Sacramento area volunteers will join together to spay and neuter hundreds of dogs and cats belonging to the area's neediest families at more than 20 veterinary clinics in sacramento, Yolo and Placer Counties.
What services are offered on Spay Day?
Each animal scheduled for a Spay Day 2008 appointment receives the following services for a small cash payment of just $15 for cats and $20 for dogs:
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Vaccinations
- Microchip with lifetime registration
- Dose of flea preventive
Households earning $35,000 a year or less are eligible to have up to two animals spayed or neutered on Spay Day.
How do I get a Spay Day 2008 appointment?
The Spay Day 2008 appointment line opens on January 15, 2008. Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call (916) 808-SPAY (7729) on or after January 15, 2008 to request an appointment. Calls made before January 15, 2008 will not be returned.
