Franklin Ranch Pet Hospital and Hotel is having a Grand Opening on October 11, 2008 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. This is an event for local pets and their owners to experience what Franklin Ranch has to offer. There will be tours of the facility, contests for pets to enter, live farm animals, games, free food and drinks and a raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will go to support the local chapter of Canine Companions for Independence, Gold Rush Champions. Opportunities will be available to win complimentary overnight stays and additional services at the pet hotel. The entire family, pets included, is encouraged to attend.
ABOUT FRANKLIN RANCH PET HOSPITAL AND HOTEL - Franklin Ranch is family-owned and offers pet owners modern medicine and boarding accommodations for their pets in two separate buildings. It is located on Franklin Boulevard in Elk Grove one and a half miles south of Elk Grove Boulevard. The hospital is an 8,000 square foot facility with the benefits of the latest technologies in veterinary medicine. The hotel is a 7,000 square foot facility with 67 total units for dogs and 26 for cats and a landscaped outdoor play area nearly 18,000 square feet in size.
ABOUT GOLD RUSH CHAMPIONS - The Gold Rush Champions is a volunteer chapter of Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). It is a group of volunteers who come together to support the mission of CCI in the Sacramento foothills region of California, historically known as the Gold Rush area. CCI is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve the needs of people with disabilities by providing trained assistance dogs and continuing support to ensure the success of the working team.
