The Sacramento Police Canine Association is proud to present the 2008 Capitol Canine Challenge on Saturday October the 25th. Saturday’s event will be held from 8:00am to 5:00pm and will take place at Dan McAuliffe Field, (3001 State University Drive East, Sacramento, CA 95819). The competition will consist of Obedience, Agility, Search, and Protection phases. The canine trial will draw police canine teams from throughout the Western United States as we look forward to having up to 50 canine teams competing. The trial is open to the public and media, and is free of charge.
Funds raised by the event benefit the Sacramento Police Canine Association whose specific purpose is to educate and promote the use of police service dogs in the community, perform canine demonstrations for schools and community groups, provide additional training and equipment for police service dogs and their handlers, assist in the care of retired police dogs, and furnish benefits to all police canines.
The Sacramento Police Canine Association is also offering business owners the opportunity for advertising exposure during the event. We are presenting several levels of sponsorship that will further promote their products and services. Donations can be made in the form of cash donations, trophy sponsorship, or merchandise donations that may be given away as raffle prizes. Our association is a non-profit (501C3) organization, and therefore all donations are tax deductible. The levels of sponsorship include, but are not limited to, the following:
