SSPCA Pet of the Week
Slugger is a 5-year-old all-star. He has learned all kinds of good things, like how to be housebroken, how to 'sit' for treats and how to be polite when the rest of the family is eating dinner. Slugger and some of his friends came to the SPCA from a desert ranch where they didn't have much human interaction or attention. But Slugger is making up for all of that now, taking walks with his foster family, enjoying sleeping on a soft bed and playing with squeaky toys. Slugger is still shy and uncertain in new situations, but he is overcoming that and getting more accustomed to living with people every day. He has a mellow, sweet disposition and wants nothing more than a quiet and loving forever home. He gets along with cats and other dogs and would enjoy having a canine pal around. Slugger qualifies for our Senior Companion program where all adoption fees are waived if the adopter is over the age of 60. To read more about Slugger and see more photos, click here.
