About UCDavisVetMed

UC DAVIS SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

For many people, the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is the place to go for the most sophisticated animal health services available.

Whether your pet is receiving a simple check-up or a complex treatment, your visit also helps our animal health experts to teach veterinary students the practical skills of veterinary medicine. We treat more than 30,000 animals each year in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.

Besides these services, veterinary faculty members work with clients, farm and ranch producers, public agencies and non-profit foundations to learn more about disease of animals. These partnerships assure the health and well-being of California's pets, livestock and wildlife while benefiting public health and the environment, too.

Please enjoy our news and visit our Web site links.

Note: This blog is intended to inform and entertain. We regret that we are unable to diagnose disease, treat animals, or answer specific health questions about your pet over the Internet. If you have a sick or injured animal, please contact your veterinarian or make an appointment at the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, 530-752-1393. Thank you for your interest in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis.
