About Nancy
I am a board certified small animal veterinary internist and work at the VCA Animal Care Center in Rohnert Park, California.
I had the great privilege of appearing on NPR's highly rated Fresh Air with Terry Gross on March 19, 2009. Click HERE to listen to the interview.
On March 26, 2009 I was honored to receive the 2009 Hill’s Animal Welfare and Humane Ethics Award at the American Animal Hospital Association's Annual Conference in Phoenix AZ. This award is given annually to a veterinarian or nonveterinarian who has advanced animal welfare through extraordinary service or by furthering humane principles, education, and understanding.

Phanta Bo Star, My Rottweiler was doomed from the womb as she inherited the MALIGNANT MELONOMA GENE and the surgery did not stop it from infesting her 11 year old body. She tried so hard to do anything you asked, performing as if she had done them in a previous life.
But it spread after undergoing amputation of lower jaw, nothing stopped the deadly invader.
I miss you so bad bugwee, and will shake your paw in eternity forever.
