Passage of the Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act will phase out the cruel and inhumane treatment of farm animals crammed into cages so small they can't turn around or stretch their limbs. All animals, including those raised for food, deserve humane treatment. This modest measure enjoys broad support from hundreds of California veterinarians, dozens of family farmers, and leading advocates like The Humane Society of the United States and the Center for Food Safety.
