It was another busy week. In my previous post I have talked about one of my feeding sites where the mommy cat has recently had a litter that are a month old.
At first we thought that there might have been just one or two since over we had never seen more than two in the past couple of weeks. After laying out wet food and sitting for several hours, we discovered that there were five kittens. All of them beautiful.
On Wednesday night we set out the trap and waited. Long story short, after waiting for a couple of hours and several kittens going in and out of the trap, it went off and caught three of the five. My girlfriend and I were very pleased. of course, mommy cat came at me when I went to leave her the regular food for the night. A person has to appreciate the protective nature of a mother cat over her kids. I had nightmares about her for a couple nights after....
