One of the cat rescue tales that I've told several times is where I caught a kitten from a litter by hand. It's not as easy as it sounds.
There is a bank that is next to a mall where there was a mommy cat that had a litter of kittens. At the time, these kittens were just over a month old and started eating on their own. Where I place the food is next to a short, dense bush that is on the other side of the bank parking lot, so these guys know that they are protected and don't have to go far when they feel they are in danger.
I feed at night so that other people can't see what I do because I don't want someone else getting the idea it would be a good idea to toss the cat who's no longer a kitten. I've seen it before and it just gets me mad.
Anyway, this one night, I had placed the plate of canned food at the opening of the bush and started to walk away. I had only moved about...
