http://www.sacpaws.com/home/Blog/mooieziel my whole wide life my whole wide life en-us http://www.sacpaws.com/home/Blog/mooieziel/236 http://www.sacpaws.com/home/Blog/mooieziel/236 This past weekend I went to the UC Davis festival, and there was a stand set up where you could donate money to save a dog's life so they wouldn't get put down at the pound.&nbsp; Our heart strings were tugged, and my friend and I donated some money.&nbsp; What was the clincher was the fact there the dog whose life we were supposedly saving was sitting there, all cute &amp; calm.&nbsp; I actually don't know if that particular program did save that dog's life....or if that really was the dog whose life we were saving come to think of it.&nbsp; Why would the dog be there if it was locked in the pound? <br /> <br /> In any event, having an animal there to get money (albeit for a good cause) is definitely effective.<br /> <br /> I have to wonder if the dog really liked being there with random people coming up and petting it.&nbsp; Though it was the most chill dog I've ever encountered to it was probably just enjoying chillaxing and not spazzing.&nbsp; <br /> <br /> Still, do you think it's right to use animals as effective props to get money from people?<br /> <br /> I'm actaully a petless person.&nbsp; A big factor for why&nbsp; I donated was so I could pet the dog. http://www.sacpaws.com/home/Blog/mooieziel/172 http://www.sacpaws.com/home/Blog/mooieziel/172 I seriously don't get why people sell dogs for $100++++ just to make a profit off of them.&nbsp; I see no justification for it, especially when dogs are being put down all the time because nobody wants to adopt them.
