Finding just the right pet can be exhausting. Searching shelters, the internet and rescue groups is a time-consuming, and often frustrating process. To help, the Sacramento SPCA is launching its Pet Request Program.

The SPCA’s Pet Request Program has been designed to assist with the often arduous process of making just the right match between adopter and pet. Through the program, a potential adopter completes a comprehensive evaluation, and then experienced SPCA staff search local shelters for pets matching specific criteria – from energy level and age to breed, color and size. Finding just the right fit between people and their pets is critical to fostering lifelong relationships – something the SPCA strives to do with every adoption.

The program fee is $30 for a 90 day search.  The fee is applied to the adoption fee if that perfect match is made. For more information on Pet Request, call 383-7387, ext. 9142 or visit sspca.org.
