Early morning awakenings of the fur kind
Miss Ruby decided it was time to get up.....at 4:15am this morning!! Actually, I had to get up around that time anyway to get to the hospital for pre-pre-rounds (the life of a med student....when will I be done paying my dues??). Anyway, as was forecasted, it was raining with a few bolts of lightening and a few boomers but Ruby was undeterred! Normally she REFUSES to go outside even in a light drizzle but she made a beeline across the patio to a patch of grass and commened grazing like a holstein cow! She's done it before but this morning she was very insistent. I've often heard that a dog will eat grass because it's stomach is upset but Ruby didn't have any problems wolfing down her breakfast. Then, after breakfast, she wouldn't go outside for a walk! I had to carry Amie to a patch of grass so she would pee and then carry her back. The life of a pug.
