Spring Time Pet Safety !!!!!
Just a few things to watch out for in your yard this time of year ~ snail bait, gopher bait, cocoa landscape material ~ walnuts, peach pits ~ pools & spas ~ ponds/pond chemicals ~ rat bait ~ Be careful using topical flea products. Make sure you are using it properly & best to go with a brand recommended by your veterinarian ~ Foxtails & other lovely little weeds that can get in your pets eyes & nose ~ Fertilizers, weed killers ~ Get rid of any standing water. You don't want a mosquito breeding ground, as heartworm is transmitted by infected mosquitos. ~ Check fences for loose boards, nails etc. You don't want you dog getting out or injuring themselves. I hope that you find this helpful & hopefully helps prevent some of these accidents from happening. Working at a 24hr emergency veterinary hospital, I have seen all of these things occur.
