Congratulations to SacPaws.com user Macamoo. She is the winner of the $1,000 pet shopping spree at Western Feed.
"I'm so excited," said Macamoo, who owns one miniature dachshund and one miniature pinscher. "When I got the e-mail, I said, 'I can't believe it!'" How is she planning to spend her winnings? "Dog food absolutely!" she said, noting her miniature dachshund likes the Royal Canin brand. She'll also pick up some bird feed for the birds in her backyard. Other than that, she's not sure yet. She's never been to Western Feed so will see once she gets there. Thank you to all of you who registered on SacPaws.com and entered the Living Large pet shopping spree contest!

Hi Folks, it's SacPaws, checking in.
It seems to me that people become acquainted with their pets in many ways. Some you find, some find you. I have 2 dogs and they came into my life in different ways. One was unwanted, I found her on the side of the road and despite my best intentions of getting her placed (I convinced myself I couldn't have a dog - not right now anyway) we ended up falling for one another and then there was no way I could give her up. My other dog is a different story altogether - she's a particular breed I'd been seeking out, my living situation was just right, and I finally found her after months of looking. Of course I love them both. They are sweet on me and I on them. I couldn't imagine better companions than my girls. What's your story for you and your pets?
As a dog lover who has been allergic to cats since birth, I often ask myself the question - why do people have cats? Aren't they notoriously aloof? Finicky? Help me out folks! Are you a cat person? If so, why? Dog people that also have cats - I'd like to hear from you too. Are you balancing the overenthusiasm of your dog with something a little less friendly or am I missing some redeeming quality ??? I am a new kid on the blog here, and I want to hear from you.
