It was sooo cute when I got home Sunday I was very tired so I put my things away and decided to take a little cat nap. I knew my babies were dying to spend time with me and I played with them a little and promised after my nap we would go outside. So I lay down on the couch and what do I awake to, yes you guessed it 2 very loving little boys cuddling with their mom. I had Jon Jon on my chest ( I didn't even wake up) and Percy in between my legs with his head resting on my leg. lol. It was so funny I usually don't sleep that soundly and when I woke up Jon was just sitting there on my stomach staring at me. Lol I love my boys so much.So we cuddled a little longer and then I took them outside. Life doesn't get much better.

My boys are not too happy when I do these babysitting gigs which makes me feel loved but I am feel guilty also. I know that sounds silly but I do. My partner gives them plenty of love and attention but they are real sticklers for keeping things as they usually are you know they don't like change!!! And even though I come visit them when I am babysitting someones dog its not the same. I wake up and we have our routine and I tell them good morning and maybe carry Jon Jon around a bit, play a bit chat a bit----you get the picture. So when I do get home I shower them with love and we have our outside time which they don't always get enough of with Dawn due to her hours and things. So I try to make the initial homecoming all about them and of course they love that they are boys after all lol and I love my boys. I will miss them when I go back next week to babysit I usually don't do it so close together it just worked out that way this time. But for now they are happy and me too.

I have finished babysitting for Sammy for now but I will be back with him in a week. My Aunt is leaving for Hawaii so it will be Sammy and I back with more tails and fun times. I love Sam he is the sweetest, smartest, really loving dog that I have met with the exception of my cousins dog Bridget (I will show you a pic of her) Bridget really is a gentle giant and very loving, loves to play and cuddle. Its like she doesn't know she is a big Air-dale she would jump up and hangout on your lap. She also is a great dog. My Aunt and cousin have the best dogs and I get the pleasure of babysitting and visiting and still get to have my beautiful cats. I would love a dog but it wouldn't work with my boys and thats OK. Its like I have a dog whenever I want. So more on Sammy next week and I'm sure there will be more he is a character!!!

Well Sammy is a very active dog to say the least. Babysitting Sammy is never a dull moment. He also gets to play ball inside but on a smaller scale of course. Lately, I have taught him to catch the ball and then bring it back to me which he picked up real quick. I have to say he is a very smart dog. So i sit in the Chair and I tell him to move back, because once he sees the ball he is on top of you. But he does he goes back a few steps and I bounce it and he catches it probably 8 times out of ten and sometimes ten out of ten. Then he brings it to me and we do it again and again and again! Pretty good for a first time learning. He also of course likes the old stand by toss the ball and bring it back. He has a toy chest with all his toys some of his favorites include a rubber chicken, a stuffed pink flamingo, football with legs, and he has this cute multi colored stuffed jack, its really cute. And of course he loves his bones he hides them in the house and then goes and finds them, eventually. Sometimes my Aunt finds the bones in the plants, buried in the couch in a cupboard would have loved to see him do that... I think we should put a little nanny like camera on him when he is home alone because I know he does more than sleep. Well anyways thats some of his inside activities (at least the ones he is allowed to do).

Sammy now loves Animal Planet!!! He loves shows with dogs (of course) he barked at the cats and wasn't really into them. He really loved shows with horses and loves elephants. But his absolute favorite show was the "Grizzly Man Diaries" if there wasn't commercials he would have sat there ( and he wants to be right up there near the TV) for 30 minutes straight. He doesn't like commercials. We will have to start TIVOing just for him!!! Check out the pics I got of him!!!

The continuing saga of babysitting Sam. Well Sammy has always been a snoopy dog, getting into everything. But since he has gotten a little older he has gotten a little more mellow so you don't have to be careful with what and where you might lay something. NOT!!! I spent a half an hour chasing Sammy with my good bra in his mouth. He thought he hit the jackpot. Not only had he escaped into the other part of the house (first mistake). He had found my suitcase and my bra and then proceeded to the living room(where he knows its harder ----) to get him out of which of course is why he is not allowed in there and he knows it...So there I am chasing Sammy around and around the living room couch him with my bra in his mouth and me as angry as I can be Plus I am half asleep so instead of thinking rational and walking away or pretending we our going outside in the big yard (which gets him all the time) I like a fool keep chasing him until I finally wake up enough and realize I'm a fool. So I go to the plan A I tell Sammy we are done lets go outside and play and I walk to the sliding door open it and as he comes galloping towards me I grab him and get my bra. Like I said Plan A usually works all the time due to his "playing Ball" addiction. But I tried to teach him a lesson and show him that stealing bras are not right. Well at least I tried!!! A few days later he escaped and headed right for my suit case and the bra but I was on to him (and awake) so I caught him, with bra in mouth, before he could leave the room. So much for the "Great Bra Caper" that time. By the look in his eyes he knew the jig was up and he was going back to the family room. The problem is Sammy has learned to open the sliding door with his nose that and that door separates him from the rest of the house. We are working on that... until next time. AND HE LOOKS SOOO INNOCENT

Like I said I have been babysitting my aunts dog during this month and he has been a terrific boy for the most part. Sammy, which we just found out likes to watch t.v. But he is choosy. For instance, I was watching Dancing with the Stars and Susan Lucci was dancing well he stopped what he was doing walked over to the TV and sat there watching her until she was done. I couldn’t believe it then when she was finished he went back to whatever it was he was doing(chewing on a toy). Another dancer came on he came back watched for a minute but went back to his toy then Susan Lucci came back on he stopped what he was doing and went to the TV and I ‘ll be darned he sat there and watched until Susan was done. Sammy is a Susan Lucci fan I guess that means I will have to make sure he gets to watch All My Children now!!!

This month I have had the privilege of babysitting my Aunts dog Sammy the wonderful white schnauzer. He has grown into such a beautiful intelligent boy. He has always been but now that he is a little older you begin to see some of his special talents and like and dislikes and he definitely has his like and dislikes. Sammy is a boy that knows what he wants and mostly he wants to play ball.  There are variations to his games of playing ball and I think I now have them all down, at least for now. I am sure there will be more for me to learn next time I baby-sit.

He of course loves the old stand by which is ball on a long whip like pole reminds of a long horse whip with a ball (probably is). Then awhile back I bought him this ball game that has a tennis ball and a curved plastic holder or thrower. Hard to explain we used to play with something similar with a waffle ball when I was a young girl. Same principle you put the tennis ball in the throwing device, we will throw it then Sammy chases it and brings it right back and drops it in the device. He loves it he could play and play and play all day and night. He also has his favorite old white, rather large plastic ball. He wants you to bounce that on the ground and make it fly off into the grass. He runs and gets it and brings it right back and drops it at you feet and we do that until I wear out because he won’t. Though I do make him rest other wise he never would!!! He also has this old bed that he loves to grab shake it around and run around the yard with I’m not sure what that’s about unless he is playing like it’s a squirrel or bird. They the birds and squirrels are his favorite animals to love to hate. So that’s Sammy’s out door activities at least supervised ones. He does have a terrible habit of jumping over the little fence into the flowerbed and picking flowers or should I say plants. Of course when no one is looking. Unfortunately another one of his outdoor activities involves collecting as much bark as he can and then trying to bring it into the house. So that pretty much sums it up for his out door activities with the exception of burying his bones, helping the Gardner, and of course watering the plants or should I say him. He loves the hose. Put him in a bath and that’s a whole different story.

The other morning I needed to wake up very early to take my sister to the airport. So I got up got dressed and went to do a few things before I had to leave. It was stilltoo early to go so I sat down on the couch. I am studying to take a test so the night before I was up really late. Well I fell asleep on the couch while waiting to leave. And I couldn't believe it Percy was meowing and meowing until he woke me up and he woke me up just in time. He was just sitting there staring at me meowing it was weird but great. I checked real quick to make sure he had food and water and his potty box was clean even though I knew I did all that before I sat down. All was good it was like he knew I had to get up and go. I always called him my little healer now he is psychic too. GREAT!!! If only he could talk.

Jon has this new thing he will come up to me and meow and jump up on the nearest table or whatever and lift his paw at me, which means he wants me to pick him upand carry him around the house. So I pick him up and try to do thingsthat I was doing. For instance, laundry, putting away the dishes,dusting,etc... He won't vacuum with me (he really dislikes the noise) he won't clean the bathroom or water the plants or well lets just say anything to do with water even filling the coffee pot. But just about anything else you can think of he will let me hold him and take him all around. He loves to have me pick him up and walk to the mail box. Its good exercise he gets heavy pretty quick. lol

Ti's the season that the boys love. They love pre-fall weather and fall weather. They get all frisky and start begging me to go outside early in the morning (which is not a good thing) and early in the evening. This morning I opened the windows early and the boys were running around chasing each other. Play boxing and just zipping around the house like it was a race track. It was adorable. I hope they continue to do that it gave them a lot of exercise and they were sooooooo happy. I am going to try and get some pics of them tomorrow.
