The adventures of babysitting Sammy 1

This month I have had the privilege of babysitting my Aunts dog Sammy the wonderful white schnauzer. He has grown into such a beautiful intelligent boy. He has always been but now that he is a little older you begin to see some of his special talents and like and dislikes and he definitely has his like and dislikes. Sammy is a boy that knows what he wants and mostly he wants to play ball.  There are variations to his games of playing ball and I think I now have them all down, at least for now. I am sure there will be more for me to learn next time I baby-sit.

He of course loves the old stand by which is ball on a long whip like pole reminds of a long horse whip with a ball (probably is). Then awhile back I bought him this ball game that has a tennis ball and a curved plastic holder or thrower. Hard to explain we used to play with something similar with a waffle ball when I was a young girl. Same principle you put the tennis ball in the throwing device, we will throw it then Sammy chases it and brings it right back and drops it in the device. He loves it he could play and play and play all day and night. He also has his favorite old white, rather large plastic ball. He wants you to bounce that on the ground and make it fly off into the grass. He runs and gets it and brings it right back and drops it at you feet and we do that until I wear out because he won’t. Though I do make him rest other wise he never would!!! He also has this old bed that he loves to grab shake it around and run around the yard with I’m not sure what that’s about unless he is playing like it’s a squirrel or bird. They the birds and squirrels are his favorite animals to love to hate. So that’s Sammy’s out door activities at least supervised ones. He does have a terrible habit of jumping over the little fence into the flowerbed and picking flowers or should I say plants. Of course when no one is looking. Unfortunately another one of his outdoor activities involves collecting as much bark as he can and then trying to bring it into the house. So that pretty much sums it up for his out door activities with the exception of burying his bones, helping the Gardner, and of course watering the plants or should I say him. He loves the hose. Put him in a bath and that’s a whole different story.
