JonJon and Percys Guest are Gone...the aftermath
Jon and Percy made it through a tough time. They survived guest (that stayed long) but were much welcomed, just not by Jon and Percy. We had a beautiful little 2 year old that was the center of attention. Which was the second reason the boys, Jon and Percy were not overjoyed with their company. The other reason is probably obvious to most people, a 2 year old boy was visiting. Jon Jon and Percy love their home, their windows, their backyard and of course all of moms attention. Well the baby liked to have all the house, though we blocked of parts of the house (had to make a safe area for Jon and Percy) oh and the baby. Well it was a long haul and by the end of the stay the boys were actually adapting. The most important part of surviving this ordeal for Jon and Percy was that they did have a safe spot free from yelling, like little boys do and free from being chased like little boys like to do so once they figured that they had that (safe space)no matter what it was OK. Also we tried to keep them on their schedule of being able to have their outside time,(that is very important to them). And we gave them lots of love I did especially and had to remind my partner that they need the same attention or more especially since they were freaking out at first. So when we did those things Jon and Percy started to adjust. We also tried to teach the baby how to approach the cats and to speak softly to them when they were around, which when he did those things the cats mostly responded well they even let the baby pet them. All in all it was a great learning lesson for everyone.
