We got our second dog, Bob, as a buddy for our ten year old Dalmatian. He’s a rescue dog and at just nine weeks old he became a member of our household. My husband wanted to name our new little guy, Jack. Now, keep in mind that we don’t allow our dogs up on the furniture. And, the command for getting the dog off the furniture is “off.” After mulling this over, we felt it inappropriate to combine the name, “Jack” with the behavioral correction command, “off,” and we immediately agreed on the name Bob. Bob is now three years old and we still get chuckle about how he got his name.
